Origins (2006-2009)
November 2006: Jean-François PINTON filed a patent application for a novel approach to characterize flows and mixing in civil engineering
2008: the patent is registered on behalf of ENS Lyon/CNRS
September 2009: the valorization process led to the creation of the company. smartINST was supported by the business incubator Crealys
Development of the technology (2009-2013)
2009-2013: supported by Ecole Normale Supérieure (Lyon) / Novacité badged / involved in collaborative projects to fund its development
2013: received support from competitiveness clusters and achieved its first awards
Launch of sales operations (2014-today)
Since 2014: relocation to new premises and addition of new personnel to the team / beginning of marketing and sales activities / first sales
